Lucy AI is your personal coach inside the Nebula workspace. Unlike the AI personas you interact with through email and chat — who play roles within the fiction of your scenario — Lucy operates at a higher level. She is not a character in the simulation; she is an advisor who can see the full picture of your session and help you think more clearly about what you are doing and why. Use Lucy when you want perspective, when you feel uncertain about your next move, or when you want to reflect on a decision you have already made.
Lucy is aware of your session context, including your scenario, your role, your decisions, and your current progress. The coaching she provides is personalized to your specific situation — not generic advice.

What Lucy can help with

Reflection

Explore the decisions you have made so far and what they reveal about your approach, priorities, and blind spots.

Blind spots

Identify what you might be missing — stakeholder dynamics, risks you have not addressed, or signals in the simulation you may have overlooked.

Next steps

Get concrete suggestions for what to do next based on where you are in your scenario and what your Mission Control objectives require.

Stakeholder dynamics

Understand the relationships, motivations, and agendas of the personas in your simulation and how to navigate them effectively.

Lucy and Mission Control awareness

Lucy’s insights are surfaced in the Awareness section of Mission Control under Lucy AI. This panel shows:
  • Reflection — a summary of how your session is going and what your choices reveal
  • Blind spots — specific areas or considerations you may not have addressed yet
  • Next steps — concrete, prioritized recommendations for moving forward
You do not need to open a Lucy conversation to see these insights — they update automatically as your session progresses.

Starting a conversation with Lucy

1

Open Lucy AI

Select Lucy AI from your workspace desktop or navigate to it from the Mission Control Awareness panel.
2

Start a new conversation

Create a new conversation. You can give it a title to help organize multiple sessions with Lucy, or leave the title blank.
3

Send your message

Type your message and send it. Messages support up to 12,000 characters, so you can share as much context as you need. Lucy responds with personalized coaching based on your session.
4

Continue the thread

Each conversation keeps its full history. You can return to any past conversation to continue where you left off, or start a new conversation for a different topic.

Managing conversations

Lucy supports multiple named conversations so you can organize your coaching sessions by topic or phase. For example, you might have one conversation focused on stakeholder strategy and another on how to approach a particular decision checkpoint. Your conversation history is preserved for the duration of your session.
If you feel stuck or are not sure what to do next in your simulation, open Lucy and ask directly. Describe where you are and what is unclear — Lucy will give you actionable guidance grounded in your specific scenario context.

Lucy vs. persona chat

It is worth understanding the distinction between Lucy and the AI personas you interact with elsewhere in your workspace:
